This version contains all the model developments for ED-2.2 and described in Longo et al. (2019) (https://dx.doi.org/10.5194/gmd-12-4309-2019). This version has been also merged to the mainline.

This version contains all the model developments for ED-2.2 and described in Longo et al. (submitted to Geosci. Mod. Dev.). This version will be merged to the mainline once the paper is reviewed, where it will receive the official v2.2 tag.
