Klaus: this could be seen as a breaking change, but the information helps.
Pierre: the discussion was late in the release of FMI 3.0 during the rc2 in #1765 , so it was not done in the only for beta versions. Let's look this up in the minutes. Then we can vote on it. @pmai: I will look into this
