Hyperaudio Lite

Hyperaudio Lite is a super-lightweight JavaScript library intended to be used to create interactive transcripts and captions.

It uses the text and word-timings of machine generated transcripts (speech-to-text) to create transcripts you can click on to navigate and make selections to share. Captions are automatically generated from the interactive transcripts.

In addition to web-native media, Hyperaudio Lite supports a number of audio and video platforms such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo and VideoJS. Multiple transcripts can be embedded on a page.

Creating interactive transcripts makes audio and video content more open to search engine indexing as well as making content easier to navigate, search and share. Importantly interactive transcripts and captions greatly aid accessibility.
