please do! in the NixOS package we run the version command in an isolated environment as a post-update check edit: though I see that it fails gracefully and in a short time, so it shouldn't be a problem |

This PR adds the ability of checking if a new version of
qrcpis available.It's still a work in progress, I might add a flag to enable/disable the version check.
