The goal of this feature was to allow multiple calendars to be synced (for example work/private).
there is an interface to add new servers (only caldav) that only block the calendar (bookable time slots). no syncing back of booked appointments.
Looks like this:
Appointments from that server cannot be edited/deleted in the calendar and is strictly read-only. Its use is solely for blocking timeslots from more than one calendar.

I implemented this due to the problem having multiple calendars i use to separate private/businesss-related and not being able to sync them properly to ea.
