This PR is just for y'all to review commits that I already made
These are already in master. I made a branch to hold the state of the repo after the last meeting and am comparing master to it. Thus this PR contains all the commits I made since then.
I would appreciate y'all to read over this and flag any bugs y'all can find since we are in crunch time.
