Thanks. It feels like the UML is a bit orphaned without anything linking to it. I assume it's not getting rendered anywhere either? Can you render it with something like https://github.com/sphinx-contrib/plantuml?

This contains the diagram that was previously attached to #358, plus the PlantUML source for a diagram I created to better understand the GDA baton logic - this is also attached to the confluence page at https://confluence.diamond.ac.uk/x/yoL8F
When we finally move to GDA.latest, we should probably move that confluence page to the official GDA developer docs, after we have done whatever refactoring is needed etc.
