This is the first feature complete release!

Improvements:

  • The app is now serverless.
  • Full screen streams
  • Viewing notebook/player history

Known Issues:

  • The UX/UI is still relatively poor overall
  • There are still several bugs, usually relating to data syncing.
  • The end of game UX is suboptimal (yet functional)

Future Planned Features:

  • Review a past game
    • Related: make clients switch to server view for finished games (fixes #4)
  • Start a new game without manually deleting the gameCode cookie
  • Game finished UX
  • Bug Busting
  • Adaptive text size (for #7)

This is a rough (not feature complete) release.

What works:

  • You can start the server, connect to the server and client web apps (in any order), and start a game
  • New clients are rejected after the game starts
  • Players can play the game. The client is feature complete (by the 1.0 standard)
  • The server can spy on what each player is drawing and typing in real time.

What doesn't work:

  • Reconnecting after navigating away. If anyone disconnects or refreshes, the game must be started over (intended for 1.0, but may be pushed to 1.1)
  • Full screen spying on the server (intended for 1.1)
  • Viewing the history of any player or notepad, during or after the game. This is the only must have remaining for 1.0
  • Some CSS is a tad rough around the edges, but 1.2 is meant to be a style overhaul and the app will look much nicer then.
