The PR description/checklist notes that src/index.json is updated by an automated pipeline after merge and should not be edited in the extension PR. This manual addition of stack-hci-vm 1.14.4 should be removed, and the PR should instead update the extension’s setup.py version and HISTORY.rst under src/stack-hci-vm/ (the pipeline will generate the index.json update PR).

There is a pipeline to automatically build, upload and publish extension wheels.
Once your pull request is merged into main branch, a new pull request will be created to update
src/index.jsonautomatically.You only need to update the version information in file setup.py and historical information in file HISTORY.rst in your PR but do not modify
src/index.json.
