Migrate away from ingress NGINX

With Ingress NGINX being retired and Gateway API becoming the recommended path forward, I wanted to ask whether there are any plans to support Gateway API resources such as HTTPRoute in this Helm chart.

The Kubernetes project announced that ingress-nginx, after March 2026, will no longer receive updates or security patches. See announcement

If support is not currently in the roadmap, would you be open to a PR implementing it?

Yes, a PR would be welcome! Maybe we should keep the ingress around for now, so that it's not a breaking change.

Imho the issue title is misleading.
We don't use any nginx specific ingress settings so we don't have to migrate away from anything.

We use the following disabled example in our values:

      paths:

          pathType: ImplementationSpecific

This example is for nginx ingress but you can still use other ingress controllers like Traefik and so on.

As far as i know gateway api is also not yet available by default in kubernetes so i'm not sure if we should add it tho the chart already.
