This doesn't belong in this repo. Information on a specific library should go to the relevant library's docs. https://docs.photonvision.org/en/v2026.2.2/docs/simulation/simulation-java.html is probably a good place to put it

yeah i was wondering about that but i was told by another moderator to document it here. I'll close the pr, I apologize for bothering you.

... Do you mean me? My apologies, I thought you were going to add a Codespaces article.

No need to apologize, I misinterpreted it. What exactly do you mean by a code space article (if that is still relevant.) however, even if not to this issue, there are other things that are codespace specific to avoid weird bugs or glitches and for troubleshooting them (and for how to set up wpilib vs code in a codespace), so if that would be helpful I can document that.

Yeah, that's what I meant by "Codespaces article": an article about how to set up Codespaces. It's still something that I think would be good to add, considering the number of people who attempt it.

That I can definitely do. our team has had to get pretty good at it, so I can definitely work on it. should I create an issue about it just to remind myself to do it, or is that unnecessary?

Up to you. If you want an issue, you can make one.

I'll probably make an issue because between ADHD and the active frc build season, I will definitely forget otherwise. I was asking just in case you didn't want me clogging up the issues tab with what is essentially a glorified Todo

@mstatistics if you want to do the setting up codespaces, i can do the rest. see #3250 for more detail.

at what level would I make this/what would I title the article? would it be a folder for coding on low resource devices with a codespaces sub folder containing articles on how to set it up, how to minimize costs, etc?

I think we’d place it under Advanced GradleRIO.

in a separate folder or just as individual scattered files (sorry for all the questions I just don't want to mess up anything)

Depends on the size of the article. If it’s one complete guide and it’s small, just one file. If it’s bigger, multiple files is fine.

its going to be multiple so i'll just add them as files under that preexisting folder. thank you so much for helping me with this, I'm sorry for bothering you so much
