Can you explain how to add the C++ application into the hardware?

Hi, thanks for the guide. I really appreciate that you go through every step in detail (even if I don't fully understand them, so I have lots to learn!)

I have been trying to figure out how to embedded the C++ into the board but I couldn't find anything clear on the internet. Do you have any blogs or tutorials that explain the steps to do this?

Hi!

For a beginner's guide on how to build a SW app in Vitis, you can look at this one from Digilent. It also contains a basic tutorial for Vivado.

According to my experience, this guide will work in Vitis 2023.1 and Vitis Classic of later releases (e.g., from Vitis Classic 2023.2 to 2024.2).
Please note that starting release 2025.1, the Vitis Classic has been discontinued by AMD. The non-Classic Vitis is called just Vitis, or referend to as Vitis Unified. Vitis Unified is relatively new, and the release 2025.1 is the first one I would recommend using with a MicroBlaze. Avoid using older Vitis Unified releases with MB, as they contain too many bugs for that platform.

I know, the existence of Vitis Classic and Vitis Unified adds to the confusion for beginners. 😃 Anyhow, most of the tutorials on the Internet are based on Vitis Classic.

I'm sure you will also find a suitable instruction video on YouTube.
