Configurable Message-ID

Describe the feature

The mail client currently auto-generates a Message-ID header (see MailEncoder.java#L179), which embeds the server’s hostname. This can unintentionally expose internal infrastructure details.

How we can change the Message-ID? I'm using the vertx-mail-client indirectly via the Quarkus Mailer.

If you set the fixedHeaders flag in the message, only the user-provided headers will be sent. Would that help?
