Feature request - support language fallbacks

Are there plans to support language fallbacks for complex websites with multiple languages and fallback content?
To my knowledge and code analysis only the current language and "all languages" records are considered for the search result.

My current szenario:

• language 0 = DE
• language 1 = EN
• language 2 = EN-US

EN-US shows mostly fallback content from EN, jst a few specific pages are translated at all. The search result only shows the few content elements from the translated pages, but it is desired to search and find all english content. Is there a way to achieve this?

Yes, content fallback is currently not supported, only the current language and content elements set to "all languages" indexed.

I agree, ke_search should support content fallbacks. But currently there's no schedule for implementing this.

This should be implemented during indexing (not during searching).

Hi @ina-beckmann,
It's not a perfect solution, but I created a hook that transfers the language content to the index if the page has not been translated. This was sufficient for our purposes, as we did not have any partial translations on the page.
Perhaps it will help you.
