Figure out a way to have custom Event Images

We currently pull all the details about the event from Google Calendar and then, based on the name of the event, we stick an image if we have one - but this only really works for reoccurring events like the Social.
Events like the GGJ or other events would be nice to be able to say: "use this image" somehow someway but I don't have a good way to do this...

Possible solution is that I add an admin-screen here or to the main site where we add events and an image and IT generates the Google Calendar - instead of the other way around... but that feels crazy...

Like I said, we have a few event images on the website already, one for the social, and a generic one. And when an event is being displayed if it has the word 'social' in the name, we show the social image... it's that stupid.

Here's a possible solution:

New Page on our stlgame.dev site.
Locked behind some kind of password or something to keep bots/people out.
It's just a form that has all the details about the Event:
Name, date, time, location, description, Meetup link, and optionally a custom image field where you can pick from an existing image or upload a new one.

When you enter a new event, the only thing it will do is generate the GCal event. That's it. Everything else that still pulls from GCal will not change. The only change is that if you specify an image, it will add something like: "i:image-name.png" to the end of the description. Then when we pull from GCal we will just say: "use the generic image unless there's an image "i:*" in the description."
If you're uploading an image it will save your uploaded image to the server first.

Cons:
every event with a custom image will have this "i:*" code at the bottom of it if anyone looks at the event itself in GCal.
If someone edits and removes/changes that part of the description we lose the image when we show that event
Need to make sure the new page is secure enough without being annoying or a hassle to use.
