Stuck at setup and plex login

I've setup Overseer in a Docker container using Portainer on my Synology DS423+

Once deployed I can reach the setup page at my NAS IP (e.g. http://192.168.x.x:5055)

However, when I go through the Plex sign in step, nothing happens and I have the following results:

1. Overseer remains on the setup page and does not recognize the Plex login
2. Plex records Overseer under the Authorized Devices
3. The User table of the database remains empty, no records.

I have tried these troubleshooting steps without success:

1. Re deploying the container
2. Logging out of Plex before logging in with Overseer
3. Using several browsers (Waterfox, Edge, Chrome)
4. Using private browser windows

I am having the same issue... anyone else... or figured out a solution?

I am logging in fine but the setup screen never proceeds to setup plex...

I'll add that I also tried Jellyseerr as an alternative, which is based on Overseerr, and it has the same issue: will not proceed past plex login at setup.

Same I tried the other alternative Ombi and it is working with Ombi.

Same thing here - plex login is failing in that way for both overserr and tautulli, so I am assuming wither something wrong on the Plex side, or they changed something about the auth process that the devs here were not made aware of?

I have an existing Overseerr instance that seems to have started having issues once Plex announced their security breach (?) and I reset my Plex account password. After reclaiming my server, I have had 3 users report to me they had issues signing in, and now I can't even sign in using Plex credentials. I receive a "Thanks! You have successfully signed in. You may now close this window." message, but then nothing happens.

It sounds like we're having the same problem as far as I can tell.

yes, this is exactly what is happening to me. I hadn't signed into overseerr or tautulli since the breach and password reset, so i can't directly say it's related to that or not. I have also tried on a completely clean browser with no cache to make sure, but same thing - just get the "you may now close the window" with no further action

I am poking around both Overseerr and Tautulli, since it seems to be a Plex auth issue. This is coming up on the docker logs for my tautulli instance:

I didn't realize Tautulli was also an issue until I logged out just now and I'm locked out with the exact same problem I'm having on Overseerr. It's all but confirmed to be a Plex-related issue at this point, but I'm unsure how to address it as I imagine the developers of these two applications would have to change something.

Was able to resolve this by signing out of Plex in the browser, then trying the Overseerr login again.
Opening the Plex popup already logged in can stall the handoff 👍
