Consider adding conversion script for EDS files using 0x08 datatype fields

A script is proposed to convert the EDS file to one with default values encoded as HEX.
It may be good to point to this resource in the documentation, or take that script / a similar script and keep it here under version control.

Applies for sure to NOVANTA drives.
