Describe the bug
When I try to launch Monster Hunter Stories 3 on Steam Deck, it gets stuck on a black screen, and doesn't load the REF window. Taking out the dinput8.dll file lets it launch correctly.
Upload logs and any crash dumps
re2_framework_log.txt
(Attempting to upload the raw txt file here resulted in an unspecified error, and uploading it anywhere else gave an error that the file was empty/had 0 bytes, so I copy pasted the text in the file into an online notepad website and made a new txt file to get around it. Sorry if this causes any issues.)
Identify the REFramework version
REF Nightly 01371
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- put the dinput8.dll file in the game's folder
- Launch the game
- Game gets stuck on black screen
Expected behavior
Game launches normally with REFramework working
Screenshots
Photos of my game folder in case it helps:
Steam Deck/Linux (please complete the following information):
- Proton version Default (No compatibility tools forces)
Additional context
I have also tried adjusting the Launch Options to be "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command%" with no changes.
