Can I use only the CircleCI part when testing with Pantheon #1

Hello!
We already have a Pantheon site set up and running and we are looking at integrating some more tests.
We have the repository on Github that is a duplicate of Pantheon Dev (two origins). I'm hoping to run some tests with CircleCI when pushing to Github master.
Can I just leave out the composer part?
