Feature Request: Adjustable Panel Horizontal Width

I know this was brought up almost 2 years ago. But since it still hasn't been addressed, i'm bring it up again. I would like to request the ability to make the panel's horizontal width adjustable. Like it is shown here in ZorinOs. This is an adjustment built right in to the panel on this distro. I use an ultra-wide screen so having everything in the center is easier to see. I do not want to hide the panel and use a dock for something that should be part of the operating system by default. It can be done. If I knew how to code for it, i'd do it and make a pull request. but sadly i do not. please add this in.

Well since it has been s couple years with no one doing anything with it, it needed a revival. Closing a request because it duplicates a years old request that didn't actually get resolved is not productive.

No, it doesn't. It means either no one cares to work on it, or it isn't a feature that's wanted by the devs. Just because a request is made, it doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Any further ideas can be added to the already open discussion.
