[FEAT]: Supporting Blobs in addition to text strings

Describe the need

This is useful for updating/uploading image files (useful when using GitHub repo as blog storage)

Some other useful shortcuts for this usecase (e.g. coding an editor working with the blog storage via GitHub API):

• renaming a file
• renaming a directory
• deleting a directory

All of these are currently possible via accurate work with gitdata API, but having a high-level functions in an official plugin (with correct error handling) would be great.

Oh, I see there already exists a native https://octokit.github.io/rest.js/v21/#repos-create-or-update-file-contents

If so, might be simpler to unify these two... or is the usefulness of this repo in that it depends only on octokit/core?

Are there any differences from the octokit.rest.repos.createOrUpdateFileContents besides UTF8<>base64 conversion?

This plugin only supports text files.

This plugin is a wrapper around the underlying request of the method, it bundles everything needed to update file contents together.

• Fetches current file contents
• Automatic base64 conversion

Is there any reason that this plugin does not use octokit.rest.repos.createOrUpdateFileContents under the hood? Did you wish to make it work without @octokit/rest? But other than that, am I correct that its difference from stock octokit.rest.repos.createOrUpdateFileContents is only the base64 conversion?

This plugin is independent, and only requires @octokit/core.

It does use the same endpoint as octokit.rest.repos.createOrUpdateFileContents under the hood.

octokit.rest.repos.createOrUpdateFileContents is simply a wrapper around the bare http request, while this plugin offers some convenience methods integrated.
