Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct (Adapted for NXTG‑Forge)

Our Pledge

We, the maintainers and contributors of NXTG‑Forge, pledge to create a welcoming, safe, and productive environment for everyone.
We are committed to building reproducible, transparent, and empowering developer tools — and that starts with how we treat each other.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that fosters a positive environment:

  • Clear, constructive communication
  • Respect for different viewpoints and experiences
  • Graceful acceptance of feedback
  • Focus on reproducible, actionable contributions
  • Empathy toward other community members
  • Commitment to documentation and clarity for future contributors

Examples of unacceptable behavior:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks
  • Dismissive or hostile responses to questions or feedback
  • Publishing others’ private information
  • Disruptive or intentionally misleading contributions
  • Knowingly introducing instability, ambiguity, or unsafe changes

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for:

  • Clarifying standards of acceptable behavior
  • Reviewing contributions fairly and consistently
  • Taking appropriate corrective action when behavior is unacceptable
  • Maintaining the integrity, safety, and reproducibility of the project

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All project spaces (GitHub issues, PRs, discussions, docs, commits)
  • Any public or private communication related to the project
  • Any interaction where a contributor represents the project or community

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the project maintainers at:

axw@nxtg.ai

All complaints will be reviewed and handled fairly, consistently, and respectfully.

Enforcement Guidelines

Maintainers may take actions including:

  1. Correction — A private, clear explanation of the issue
  2. Warning — A formal notice of unacceptable behavior
  3. Temporary Ban — Removal from project spaces for a defined period
  4. Permanent Ban — Removal from all project spaces and contributions

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, with modifications to reflect the goals and values of NXTG‑Forge.
