Optimal settings for 240p x 3 = 720p (16 GB VRAM)

I'm showing the optimal settings for upscaling 320x240p videos to 960 x 720p by 3x.

GPU: RTX 5070 Ti 16GB VRAM
Upscale speed: 1.89 fps
Upscale ratio: 3x

Hi @naxci1 - quick question for you as I see that you're using the Q8 GGUF model. I only put the Q4 models in the UI by default to avoid overwhelming users with a very long list of model to choose from. Do you think there is value in adding all of them? Keeping just the Q4 ? or just the Q8? Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

I've used many of them and settled on the 3B Q8 model. This one currently works with the best quality compared to others. The 7B Q8 models have issues and produce lower quality output. I think you should add the 3B Q8 to your list, too.

This may be a silly question, but do the videos you are going to enlarge have any special keyframe settings within the .mp4 codec, or are they simple .mp4 videos?

Please share the complete log; it seems you've encountered OOM errors, which is why the process is so slow. To find the optimal GPU settings, I need to have the same GPU, otherwise I can't give you precise settings here. You can do this through trial and error; for example, set it to 100 frames, restart comfyui every time you encounter an OOM error, and change the settings. Adjust the Tier setting. Please share a screenshot of your workflow so we can see how you've configured it.

what do you mean by set it to 100 frames? Here is my setting i am currently testing a video upscale of a video with 1440x1440 res to 2000

It's an experience, trial and error.
When I see in Process Manager thar VRAM os overflowing and going to shared VRAM, it's time to lower my settings.
