I have been writing some captions, I also sometimes upload them to another site, (since the more the better) but I've been forgetting.
I use italics, you gotta support itsalics when opening a srt file, just treat the text as HTML that would work (no wait that might be exploitable) I made a video with positions: https://youtu.be/D1rr7Olg8lw?t=137 but unless I set that myself it shows {\an6} why? Look I guess I could just use ASS captions, but then people can't change the size, so I only will use that when I fell like making the captions go under the speaker, like the olden days. Also I think the text should be centred, but that's unrelated.
