App crashes mac laptop #12

yo,
never had this issue before, im not 100% sure either, but the only thing ive recently downloaded is python so would that be an issue?
MacOS Mojave , 10.14.6
I haven't tested it on my windows laptop yet, as far as i know this is an issue only with my mac. it opens terminal, launches the app, then the screen goes all glitchy and looks like one of those tvs from the early 2000s where it would be all staticky, then restart my laptop. No idea why this is happening. If there's a way to fix it pls let me know, thanks.
