Make longer comments more pleasing: Add line breaks and markdown, remove 1000 characters limit #7531

Longer comments are often hard to read because one can type line breaks but in the end they are removed in the sent message
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to use lists and line breaks/paragraphs, maybe even headings, in comments.
Additional context
It would also be very helpful to have more than 1000 characters per comment.
