Jumping in lists by letters

Hello, 

I've noticed that I can jump in my artist list by sliding on the right side of the screen and selecting letter. 
However, this behavior is only achievable when the list of artist is small. 
Currently with + 700 artists name the "jumping feature"  doesn't work and the app froze during 2-3 second.
