Is it possible to use another source for the gmagick extension, the last release on pecl was from 2021 and breaks with php 8.5

The gmagick PHP extension seems rather abandoned: the last update of its source code dates back 2021 - see https://github.com/vitoc/gmagick

Yes, i was wondering if pie would solve it, or do you suggest migrating to imagick?

pie compiles PHP extensions from source code like install-php-extensions.

If the source code of a PHP extension is not compatible with the PHP version, both will fail.
