Fenix 7X doesn’t progress to next song

Hi, I got this working today! Mine doesn’t “test” successfully. But when I just tell it to sync a single playlist under 20 songs it worked!

However while running I was very frustrated and tried a few ideas. I ended up I had to switch music providers and then switch back to get to restart playback of the playlist. Unfortunately even after three attempts it was clear the app just doesn’t increment to the next song. I’m assuming the app loses context of what it’s playing.

This doesn’t happen with Spotify and SubMusic can play all the songs I loaded. Even when I manually skip to next song it doesn’t change anything.

I could try fixing this. But need to learn to deploy code to watch for testing

Fenix 7X is known to have very limited memory available. It might be possible to sync the playlist, but then the required memory to hold the playlist in 'now playing' might be too large. Could you try some smaller playlist and see if it works reliably?

Some background on this:
Current version of SubMusic was written for speed, so the whole playlist is loaded in memory while it is played. This worked perfectly for a long time, until Garmin updated their software last year. The available memory was reduced a lot. I have rewritten large parts of the SubMusic core since to reduce memory usage a lot (in some reports now over 200 songs in a playlist can be synced and played). Currently, this update was only released for SubMusic for Plex. I am working on making both versions equal, but due to lack of available time I have not been able to finish and release this update yet for SubMusic. Hopefully coming soon.
