Fastforward / rewind song

Hi, is submusic able to fastforward / rewind on the song timeline ?
Or does it rely on garmin's internal music player, on which all the music streaming services depend, too ?
Which is absolutely broken, despite manuals/docs, as proven here https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/venu-2/267452/how-to-fast-forward-through-songs-or-podcasts , for years.
It really seems Garmin devs are unwilling to fix it, or the code simply can't be fixed and they don't want to overhaul everything...

If so, have you / contributors ever considered porting the app to samsung watches ?
Apparently in there, it's up to the app author to provide this ability or not.
E.g : the native samsung offline mp3 player for sure allows for it https://www.youtube.com/shorts/O79atGchM5s , while spotify don't want the user to be able to skip through : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYzUeJtQHMA&t=50s + 02:43 .

It also seems that amazfit watches (zepp OS) should (probably?) allow for it, since that guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUlsVe75_IY can force his phone to fastforward, from the watch, using the volume buttons that got repurposed somehow. Amazfit only have an offline local music player for now, no providers yet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg74B9axGeA&t=17m40s though, so idk whether an app is pushable to their OS/store.

Yes, there is a setting you can change to set it to 30s skip. This changes/adds buttons on the screen that will allow you to fast forward (by 30s increments I believe).

Since for some people this interfered with their Bluetooth headphones default button behaviour, this feature is not enabled in SubMusic by default. You can enable it in either Connect IQ store > SubMusic > Settings or on the watch open the SubMusic app, then choose settings.

To answer your other questions

1. Yes, SubMusic, just like any other music-enabled app for Garmin, is using the native media player. There is no other way to implement it in Connect IQ. It is possible though to provide some configuration options and that is how the 30s skip became a setting in SubMusic.

2. Have considered other platforms. Although the sync logic and API knowledge could be easily transferred to any other platform, most time is typically lost in learning and modifying for the platform specific bugs/featureset. Currently, I have very limited time (also still working on the SubMusic update), so will not be able to start such a project. Would be willing to contribute to such a project though, if someone would want to build this and take on the platform-related challenges.

Checked the docs and it seems to be possible to change that now. However, it requires custom button design, as the default button shows '30' on it. Would be nice to add the feature, but for now I have other priorities (i.a. getting SubMusic updated to better manage memory etc.).
