THEN I receive the following error GarminSdkError::-400 Error HTTP --> GarminSdkError:INVALID_HTTP_BODY_IN_NETWORK_RESPONSE

Plex is reverse-proxied on a sub-domain. This works for all of my other devices although I recognize this solution is not a native integration so more can go wrong.

Troubleshooting steps so far...

• I have tested the domain with and without a trailing slash

You could check some of the following things:

• remote access is enabled in Plex Server settings
• the server address you entered in the SubMusic settings is actually reachable from both the connected phone network and the watch connected WiFi network
• the Connect IQ app is opened and connected, and has all required permissions enabled (might give a notification to allow network connection)

Remote access is enabled. The address I used is what I use to access plex on my desktop and laptop. The IQ app has permissions and is even able to pull in the playlists but it does not retrieve any music.

"Not retrieving any music" and "Error on Test Server" are two very different things.

Internet connection should be available through both the phone and the configured wifi network on the watch. The Plex Media Server should be available in both of those networks. It might have to do with being local and remote. IIRC any Plex url is either remote or local, but doesn't work for both. The SubMusic for Plex app does an auto-discovery, so the issue is solved there. In SubMusic this is not possible, as the server address url is fixed.

Possible solutions:

• set up a reverse proxy so your server is reachable from a single url both locally and remote
• make sure your server is always in a different network than both phone and watch, so you can use the remote url always
• use SubMusic for Plex, as connection is completely automated and just always works

2. Tried this with the same result (I get a 403 error when trying to sync)

The -403 error could indicate too large playlists. Do you try to access very large playlists or do you have a lot of playlists? You could try to access smaller playlists to see if it works.

With regards to 'SubMusic for Plex', it is the other SubMusic app in the Connect IQ store that is specialised for Plex. It has two major advantages:

• easy single step login, with automated discovery of available connections as described before
• SubMusic for Plex has had a major rewrite to reduce memory usage. This was necessary for using larger playlists after Garmin updated Firmware on devices last year March/April. This rewrite is not yet ported back into SubMusic.

I can recommend using SubMusic for Plex as it will be more actively supported and easier to use. However, it is a paid app (with possibility for a trial). For now Plex will also work in SubMusic, but might have some limitations.

The -403 error could indicate too large playlists. Do you try to access very large playlists or do you have a lot of playlists? You could try to access smaller playlists to see if it works.

Could you send some more detailed info on your setup over direct mail? It might be related to your reverse proxy setup, or Plex setting, so sending some info could be very quick and helpful to test against!
