[BUG] Push Notifications not working

Current Behavior

iOS 18.6.2
Mastodon - latest version
Instance - Fosstodon.org
I have an app that sends notifications from a private bot account to my account only on Fosstodon. I don't get any notifications in ios but it works fine on the Web Interface or with another Mastodon client (Ice Cubes)

Seems to have started a few weeks ago. None of my notificaiton settings have changed, it seems to be isolated to this app only. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch, restarting the phone and all that.

Can provide other info if required, I am not sure what to provide.

Expected Behavior

When bot account runs mastodon.py at regular intervals it sends a direct message to my everyday account. Expect it to buzz my phone and provide a notification. Nothing happens. When I launch the app the notification bell is not highlighted but if I go in to check the notification is there.

Steps To Reproduce

Send notification manually from bot account to my regular account

Environment

- Device: Iphone SE
- OS:IOS
- Version: latest
- Build: latest from app store

Anything else?

This is more for information purposes. I have found a workaround with another client app. But willing to troubleshoot if issue is widespread.

I’m currently getting no notifications whatsoever. I mean, if I go to my notifications, they are there, but no notification in the bell icon or the app icon. This has been the case for weeks.
