How to differentiate scrolling direction

Within whileScrolling() callback, I'd like to differentiate x or y scrolling event, I didn't find a built-in method to identify it, how should I do that? or currently, it's impossible.

You can check options.dir from whileScrolling() with this patch

More simply you can look at the value of this.mcs.direction in the whileScrolling callback :-)
