Feature request: Integration with jellyseer

Is there a way to integrate Swiparr with jellyseer? I see a major benefit of automated requesting over jellyseer.

This is interesting... I agree. I love all clients that come with Seerr integration.

So, in practice this would mean that when using Jellyfin as a provider, the card deck is filled with both movies from the library AND "global" movies (like from TMDB), and then with functionality to request a "global" movie through Seerr? Just trying to think it out.

That’s exactly the direction I had in mind.

In addition to the “watch now” flow, I could also imagine a separate mode that is purely focused on requesting via Seerr.

So instead of promoting “what should we watch right now?”, it would be more like:

• Browse/discover global titles (e.g. TMDB, trakt lists)
• Swipe/select what we want to add to our library
• Send requests directly to Seerr via API
• No emphasis on currently available Jellyfin content

So, instead of the goal being to "decide what to watch right now", it will be "what to add to the media server". Seerr integration can either be configured in env vars, or in user settings (only available for Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, with per-user authentication - or possibly global auth, will need to research how Seerr handles it...). Seerr integration can be toggled by setting section Swipe Goal from "Decide" to "Request". when Swipe Goal is Request, users can authenticate to Seerr and also optionally toggle "Request on right-swipe". What do you think about this?

As for the actual logic - it's pretty simple. Develop a Seerr service to integrate with the API, then just conditionally inject the high-level functions into the existing processes and flows. As for the UI, a Request button in the movie details view, a toggle in the Admin settings, and some action feedback when a movie has been requested. As for the Request button, I like the design of the Kefwin Tweaks/Jellyfin Enhanced plugin's Seerr integration on the search page - easy to request with default settings, or open a dialog to configure request options manually.

Then I have just one question - what about group sessions? Matches triggers a Seerr request?

Since Seerr is compatible with Jellyfin, Emby and Plex, I believe this will be a nice feature.

Yes something like that. I guess about the naming it’s fine tweaking. I assumed to have a global API key so it will be transparent for users if possible. Or a service account or something.

Regarding the look, I guess it should integrate nicely with your current one and as I don’t know anything about the KefinTweaks yet I am not the right one to give advise I guess. It looks neat indeed.

For the groups, yes, should work the same as 1:1 not? You have a group and if you have a match, it will trigger a request.

I was just thinking about working on a similar app to let the users of my server be able to help decide what gets added with a "swipe" style interface when I found your project.

I had built a little interface mockup that included the mechanism for "super-like" style request now with Seerr integration.

I was also wanting to integrate with Tautulli in order to show the user tags like: "You've watched this" and "In Library". The idea is as you stated: Let me users help decide what get's added to the server.

But also using the vote information to:

• Show users what everyone on the server is watching and liking
• Expose APIs so other *arr apps can use the sentiment data for things like: auto deletion, auto requesting, quality downgrading, etc

If you're open to this sort of direction, I'd love to help make some feature contributions! I'll read through the project code tonight.
