Lichess to support DGT boards?

Why did lichess agree to support commerical, closed and proprietary hardware like DGT?
To my understanding lichess is free as in libre ?
Then to be fair why not even support all the other vendors like chessnut, chessup...?

By the way I tried to use a DGT board with lichess and could not get it working due to stability issues within DGT Live chess software (not within lichess)
Damaging to lichess-reputation by this fact alone?

If you say in Broadcasts: Have You a option? No, but...

For Board API:
The support in /dgt not have updates in sometimes and sometimes can break. (note: Livechess software have API Doc and anyone use and Lichess not have contract with DGT)
Chessnut and chessup also is proprietary hardware (not good choose) (Note: in Discord of Lichess, vendors can contact directly @ornicar for support)
In this page: https://lichess.org/page/eboards can see some vendors with support to Board API

And note: LiveChess software only support DGT Boards permitted for OTB events, boards for home can't use software

I know there is no alternative HW for broadcasting, but presenting a vendor as prominent as in the PLAY-menu, where the intention clearly is to play online, violates the rules of market fairness.

The first point only appears in the play menu if you first enter /dgt
it doesn't appear by default

And is true can't remove after enable #15163

Another problem is that the DGT is so well-known that everything involving eBoards is mentioned, even if it's not related to the DGT.
It's like JavaScript, which is a registered trademark of Oracle, instead of saying ECMAScript.

This is how monopolies get cemented in our heads, in our society. The world needs an unprejudiced, colorful diversity and open minds / markets. I always thought that is, what lichess stands for. Independence ! Freedom?
