Create documentation for multitile layout yaml

The readme of this repo contains a reasonable description of the single tile layout yamls, but there is no documentation surrounding the multitile layout yamls. Since this is the codebase that is used to generate these files, I would suggest that it goes here (in the readme or otherwise). This description should contain explicit definitions of units and coordinate systems.
