I need some guidance :)

I think Certificates / https shouldn't be the scope of this Project.
You can add a Reverseproxy like Traefik , Caddy, nginx ... in front of it.

with reverse proxy is working but i was trying to find a solution for sinatra

You don't need to add certificates to sinatra, just add it to the reverse proxy using letsencrypt in nginx for example.

Or traefik works too.
