Implement RSS feed for individual Titles

It is now posssible to subscribe to browse.library.kiwix.org's RSS feed from a single button. It would be even better if each individual ZIM had it's own RSS:

Or is this already possible by filtering entries so as to have only the requested zim appear?

we have rss for individual ZIM file, youbjust have to make a search with onky one result. Pretty easy.

Well actually re-opening the issue since the answer is not self-evident and we should be able to provide something akin to the above mockup.

Subscribing to an individual ZIM's feed is stupiduseless. I guess what you want is subscribing to a Title.

Absolutely not. kiwix-serve UI allows filtering by Lang, Category and then free-text for Title/Description word match.
Try to get only freecodecamp_en_all with this… 😀

I agree it would be a great feature to have a dedicated button on each card that would allow subscribing to Title's feed.

It could already be partially implemented frontend-side by just computing the /catalog/v2/entries URL to use ?name=NAME_METADATA.

Problem, is it would list all flavours because endpoint doesn't support flavour filtering at the moment.

Then there's the content-type: application/atom+xml;profile=opds-catalog;kind=acquisition;charset=utf-8 that is annoyingly not recognised by Firefox and triggers a download but it's a copy-paste action anyway so not a big deal.

Isn't such feeds publication something for the CMS? Looks pretty easy to implement over there, and could even survive titles renaming (since we will handle this exceptional situation CMS-side).

Well feed is a kiwix-serve feature that should be available to all its users. I also think it's its responsibility to give access to it. That said, we could improve the catalog format to make this better but that's sensitive work.
