New tag

Hi,

Some changes since the last version 0.25.3 include SSL transport which we require in our application. Are those changes finalized and could a new tag be set for this feature, please?

Actually, before this ticket is done, let me extend this request: Would it be possible to get real releases for this library?

As an example, please look here: https://github.com/TartanLlama/expected/releases

I am trying to make this library available via meson's wrapdb, but it is very uncommon for projects to refer to a git repository at a certain commit hash. It is, however, common practice to refer to a source archive for a particular release.

I guess I should start with the real releases.

Each tag has archives created, https://github.com/karastojko/mailio/tags.

Example: https://github.com/karastojko/mailio/archive/refs/tags/0.25.3.tar.gz

Why is there a need for the release feature of Github?

I see. Thank you for the pointer! Yes, I think that would be enough - I just wasn't aware of that! Maybe, a new tag for the new features is really, what I'm waiting for. :)
