Long shot I know, but hear me out.
I am not one of those users that use kanata like a qmk keyboard and enjoy its amazing functionality with macros and layers and stuff on the fly. I my keyboard is just a plain keyboard and will likely stay like that.
What I do though is: I have a 35 macro pad which I purchased from aliexpress mostly causse of its form factor, it has macro functionalities and remapping and stuff but I dont really use them cause it doesnt have layer functionality just like kanata (which nothing comes close, apart I guess from QMK) so what I do is use kanata as a firmware to add all those features But! the problem is windows can only have so many keys that I wont use as a normal keyboard and that kanata recognizes e.g F13-F24, scrollock, pause and few other. I tried media keys with no success. So my only real solution to be able to map all the keys through kanata is the interception driver which to be honest works well, In essence I created a very powerfull macropad without affecting my normal keyboard.
But again! even though interception does the trick its very persky and windows seems to want to eliminate it, being a 3rd party tool and security and all the other stuff.
So my request/idea is if possible in the defsrc section of kanata to use other stuff such as
Thanks for hearing me out!
