I suddenly receive an error:

Did you reboot after updating the kernel?

Yes. Just to make sure, I just did again, same error.

What if you set --firewall nftables ?

Without the verbose switch, nothing seems to happen, no connection. With —verbose, please see attached.

hmm it's weird that enp1s0 doesn't show up under the active interfaces from ip addr ?
