When you hover over any found link, a block icon appears on the right.

I couldn't reproduce this issue (uBlacklist v9.3.0, Ecosia SERPINFO last updated 2025/07/26, tested on Chrome 142 and Firefox 145).

Did you enable Ecosia support in the extension options? Support for search engines other than Google is disabled by default. See https://ublacklist.github.io/docs/advanced-features#other-search-engines

I was about to open a similar discussion (block not working in Ecosia). I also missed that it is disabled by default. I only read the extension description and the Readme on GitHub that was linked there and somehow thought it will work by default, though I get why it is not that way. :)
It might be worth putting the info there as well.
