connection immediately drops after a successful connect

I have recently purchased a smart tv which supports miracast, and was trying to mirror my laptop screen to my new tv. I’ve tried using wds for this. It connects fine, but then immediately it drops the connection. i can’t figure out what to do. i have followed the README.
