As suggested by @danielhuppmann, it will almost certainly be necessary to provide a way to clone Scenarios from a JDBC DB to an ixmp4 one.
As previously mentioned by @khaeru, such a method would likely not need to be super efficient as we could hopefully run this on a limited number of Scenarios and only once for each of them.
