Rename MAX to Fixed Value

Rename MAX to Fixed Value

I had a problem to understand this MAX Input. If it would be called Fixed Value then it would be easier to understand.

I understand how it got that name, but it could definitely be more clear. Possible replacement terms to use in Configurator:

Constant
Fixed
Static

I am new to INAV and I had a hard time to understand the concept and some terms. I am not new to VTOL, but until now only with OpenAeroVTOL. I think "Fixed Value" describes this best.

By the way, @Papa-Echo I would be curious if you have some notes of other things that weren't very clear for you.
I want to make things clear, easy to understand. But I often can no longer see what is unclear because I already know what everything does and how it's all used (with the exception of tuning - I'm not a tuner).

I recently updated a few things, such as the LED tab, to try to make them more clear for Configurator 9.1, but mostly I'm not able to see it in the same way a newer person sees it.

Yes, let me go through INAV and see what I can find.
The documentation definitely needs an update. I am using a lot of open source software and in our RC hobby I use OpenTX, EdgeTX, ELRS, Betaflight, etc. and now INAV. EdgeTX and ELRS have pretty good websites and documentation.
Maybe INAV could use an assistant that helps setting up the mixer and outputs. I had to watch a lot of videos to understand this Mixer and Output stuff. Most videos were outdated.

I have looked through all the tabs with the eyes of an INAV newbie. I can understand that you as a developer are routine-blinded.
This is what I found:
First of all: INAV is in some parts far away from being intuitive. INAV is powerful and should be designed for ease of use, but it is not always easy.
When you start from scratch (or after a firmware update) there is a basic assistant (Default Values screen). This should be enhanced a lot. Especially for VTOLS.

The Mixer Preset needs an update. You should be able to set your motors and servos how they are wired with your FC.
Stabilized Roll/Pitch/Yaw + or - What is it?

The column Speed (I know what it is meant for), but µs/s doesn’t make sense to me.
Why is in the column Active only Always selectable?
Outputs: The schematic of the model needs the same update like in Mixer.
The Output column under Servos: what does it say?
The tool tip text for „Save and Reboot“ and „Save“ needs to explain the difference between these buttons.

Failsafe There should be a text (at the beginning or end of the page?) that you can make more settings in the “Advanced Tuning” tab.
