Program simply blank upon opening

I just downloaded the Windows 64bit version and tried running it, but it only opens a blank program window. I try going to the 'File' dropdown, but it only has an option to exit. None of the other buttons do anything really.

I don't know what I'm missing here, am I doing something wrong? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as this program looks like a dream came true. Thanks so much in advance! :+)
