Drop Ctrl keyboard not working #304

Hi, first off just wanted to say thanks for making such an awesome project, I've been looking for something like this for years!
I've recently set up a Deskhop (pre-assembled from Elecrow) and unfortunately can't get my keyboard (Drop Ctrl) working on it. When I connect the keyboard it briefly flashes on then cuts off, too fast for the Deskhop to blink its LEDs to indicate the connection. Another keyboard I've got laying around does work.
I've got 2 theories as to why it's not working - one is that the keyboard does have a lot of RGB LEDs on it, and unfortunately it doesn't have persistent storage so they're on at full tilt by default with no way to connect it with them switched off. My other theory is that the keyboard has a built in 2 port hub as it has 2 USB C ports and lets you use whichever port isn't connected initially as a host port. From what I understand Deskhop kind of supports USB hubs but inconsistently - I did get a cheap powered VIA chip based USB hub to see if that might help from the power side and unfortunately it doesn't even work when connected with a known good keyboard (Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 fwiw).
I suspect this isn't easily fixable but I figured I'd share if for no other reason than so others know that a Drop keyboard might not play nicely with Deskhop
