I would LOVE a countdown timer that is not "real world" time, but "in game time".
- When the game is paused, the timer is paused.
- Each round of combat that passes counts the timer down 6 seconds.
- The timer is "aware" of large time skips (rests).
This would be extremely useful for things like "you roll 1d8 for every hour you are in the dungeon, if you roll a 1, a random encounter happens". Or "it's been a day hours, you need to eat".
My ideal in game timer system would do the following:
- Able to have multiple timers going simultaneously, with names to keep them straight.
- A timer can automatically start again once it reaches 0. This keeps with the "do something every hour of game time" scenario I described above.
- If a bunch of time is skipped at once (a long rest), show how many times the timer "went off" during the time skip.
