grpc-java 1.79.x ETA

Hi - we see grpc-netty listed here https://github.com/grpc/grpc-java/blob/master/SECURITY.md#netty which the latest version as 1.79.x - so I wanted to check what's the ETA for grpc-java / grpc-netty 1.79.x?

The ETA for grpc-java 1.79.0 is Feb 03 2026. If you have control over which Netty version to use, you can still use Netty 4.1.130 with grpc-java 1.78.0. While not officially supported yet, there are no API incompatibilities between Netty 4.1.127 and 4.1.130 that would make it not work with grpc-java 1.78.0.
