I'd like to ask if enabling nginx cache could be counter productive?

Hey, it likely wouldn't hurt, but it also wouldn't help since Glance already caches requests and sets cache times for assets.

yeah, that's what I was thinking about.
I'm still working on the site, maybe I'll test a bit on my own with and without cache.. see if I notice anything different.
